Vikings game has wrong included files list, mistake by TheResidentEvil himself. It is a Vikings game and it includes NFL.2009.Week2.Vikings@Lions.x264.720p.1h-TRE.mkv file.

First of all: Thanks for all the games "advisethis". You rock!

Now, I don't want to ask more than you uploaders already give us but if I may, I'd like to suggest including info regarding results ticker, in case the transmission include such at the top of screen.

I avoid visiting NFL.com and I try to watch as many games as I can without knowing the results, so when I start to see a game that includes that little ticker at the top right of the screen I stop and put that game at the end of my queue.

Knowing about the ticker beforehand would help me establish a better download order.

Just a suggestion, NOT a complaint…I’m loving the opportunity to follow the season thanks to this thread and the dedication of the uploaders.

Default Regarding Tickers
Hey FredBueno, I hear you about trying to avoid spoilers, I do my best to avoid websites and radio. It is very tough to do through every game however, not just because of tickers, but because of gamebreak highlights and the usual 'coming up next for team a' thing near the end of games (those usually show teams' new records).

Here are some suggestions:

To avoid tickers, if you are using VLC, you can crop the video. Depending on the file, it will need a different crop setting. What this does is takes away the top and bottom of screens, so tickers and game scores are no longer visible on the screen. The only downside to this is that the score of the game you are watching and the time remaining is also cropped. At least it helps though.

For gamebreaks/highlights, as soon as I hear the words 'Let's check in with so and so in New York/LA, I immediately lower/mute the volume, and turn away from the screen. After a few seconds it is usually safe, so I turn back to the screen, and wait a few more seconds before raising the volume (as often the commentators will say 'Wow great throw by blankblank').

I'm sure other people have thei own styles of doing this, but good luck. It's unfortunate that most games will contain spoilers, but it is very hard to ask a ripper to take out every single piece of spoiler, and still get the game out on a reasonable timeframe.

Edit: And for clarification, cropping the video in VLC is not permanent, it only lasts for that viewing, it doesn't change the file at all.

I think everyone should remember that this is a FREE service that they provide us. Just go over to the full game download in the soccer space to see what it would look like without dedicated uploaders (hint, it sucks).

By the way, that cropping thing works wonders in VLC. Thanks for whoever suggested it.

Edit: And for those that can't find the crop option, you can select it either at the top menu under Video-Crop, or you can right-click the screen, and same thing select Video-Crop.
