Donations for Hockey Subscription Accounts and Rules

Hockey Lovers,

We have started a fund to help pay for the cost of Ice Hockey accounts and we are accepting donations to support this effort. A few of the streamers have collected donations in their rooms & have graciously donated some or all of their donations! Hat's (or helmets) off to them & what they do for us! Whatever you can give, (even $5 will help) will enable us to stream more games.

Please see rules in post #2 as to how these funds will be used.

The high cost of running this site is handled by a separate fund that we ALSO encourage you to donate to, especially if you use this site for all (or most) of your sports needs. Rules for the donation subscription accounts:

• All money donated will and MUST be used for online related hockey media. No cable/satellite services since they can only be used by the purchasing individual. This includes equipment; streamers should fund their own setup.
  
  
• Accounts will be used and shared among myp2p mods and trusted streamers.
  
  
• To be a user/streamer of the accounts one must have adequate means of contact (e.g. MSN, AIM, IRC – includes Ustream, etc.). Will need to communicate with other users and be given information from mods on these services.
  
  
• If a streamer is to use and have access to the myp2p online account they must collect donations using the myp2p primary PayPal account
  
  
• Depending on the amount of funds and active accounts of a certain league, remaining funds could be used for other hockey leagues (e.g. AHL, Europe Elite Leagues, KHL). This will be decided upon by the mods.
  
  
• Finally DO NOT ask for access to these accounts at any time. New users will be appointed by the mods and agreed by all trusted users with access.

These rules are subject to change at any time.



Those that collected donations last year please disclose how much you received so we can start working out how the funds will be allocated. That way we can see how many GC subs we can afford with maybe a chance of getting an AHL sub.

ND we decided you don't have to share your funds. Since you are going to the military and were in an accident we figure you can just keep what you got. So thanks for the work you did and good luck with everything.

Actually since the accident, its putting out for going to service, So I would be around to stream this upcomming year.

My only problem is, I would have to get the nhl package for my dish provider, which I dont have the cash for lol.

Last year i did get the account from pixelfehler to stream nhl.
Now i have a new inet connection of 20mbit down and 3mbit up.
So now i can stream with sopcast on higher quality.

And is it possible to share the account again with me and i also really like to stream AHL. So i hope we get an account there to use. Please contact me on my email or PM

question for those of you who have used GC accounts before. so lets say i have an account and my local team is playing and i want to watch but there isnt any local tv coverage but there is coverage from the other teams tv will i be able to watch the game or will it be blacked out, also will it matter if its a home or away game for my local team? reason i ask is im a huge thrashers fan and a decent amount of their early season games arent locally televised and i would hate to buy a month or two of GC to not be able to use it as i would like.

also if it works out and i can watch the non local televised games i could let you guys use the account on days that i dont need it since i really only follow the thrashers.

Chances are it will be blacked out. Even though you may not get it with your cable/satellite package, it's probably being broadcast somewhere in your area. Look at some of the premium channels your cable provider offers, it's probably being shown on one of those networks. I had GC last year, and I live in Toronto and was never able to stream a game from there.

I wouldn't recommend getting it, I'm almost certain you won't be able to watch the games. Just check here, we were covering every game almost every night last season.

well theres only one channel that broadcasts thrashers games so i may try it the first month and see what happens, worst case scenario you guys can use it to stream from for a month.

So today is September 19th, I posted the requests of last year’s streamer to post here and divulge the amount they got for donations on July 18th. It's been 2 months and still nothing, it's just so hard to post a few numbers I guess.

Anyway since I've talked with them (magic only once) I'll do it for them

• Magic is pretty much MIA, however he wasn't sure if he'd be streaming and if he's going to buy himself a Center Ice package instead. Said he didn't get any donations

• Skinny said he got like $20, not sure if he's moved it over to the new account. He doesn't have much time to stream this season, but will cover Leafs games since he'll stream as he's watching them.
  
  
• Fix is very busy with his new business, so probably won't be streaming anytime soon. He got maybe $100, and hopes to transfer most of it in phases.

Now since I'm the only one left from the core group last year, I'm just going to go ahead and purchase a GameCenter account through my name. It will still be available to use by mods when I'm not using it (I stream Wings games) and whoever else becomes a trusted streamer as stated in the rules. So that means I'll still have money left over, which we'll need to discuss.

If you want to donate partial use of your GameCenter account that would be greatly appreciated. As for your concern, depending on your zip code if SportsSouth is broadcasted there (your location) games will be blacked out when they carry it.

Hey Drum, I am willing to stream this year. I did it off my sat box last year. But not sure how to do it on a GC account. Since i came in like in the playoffs, i only got like 50.00 in donations or something.

ND, if you want to transfer the funds I guess it's up to you. I might hold off a bit since I'm not sure what the mods plans are and how they want to appoint/select other streamers.
