    Default Streamtorrent for Rugby viewing

Streamtorrent is a great alternative for JTV and Ustream and much more streamer friendly. Besides this the quality is also better!

Because Streamtorrent is derived on p2p quality it might sound a little bit more technical but it isn't at all.

As a start first read this thread to see how you can install it:
    http://www.myp2pforum.eu/streamtorre...amtorrent.html

A great feature is also the chat which is included. When you start the channel a new window will pop-up where an introduction text will appear (Title: Application from Streamtorrent team) . Click here on "Chat with users on this channel!"

Don't worry it also works on Mac's. For more info see here:
    http://www.myp2pforum.eu/streamtorre...crossover.html

If you're using a Rooter it might be that you've to open the port used by P2P. More info see here:
    http://www.myp2pforum.eu/streamtorre...etworking.html

If you've any problems which aren't discussed in any of the links above feel free to post these below!

Hmm yeah, ST is a good platform. I may put up a test stream soon, and if all goes well I will use it as my primary stream platform

one thing I noticed about ST is the tendency to crash. I really like the software and hope the developers pick it up again and or release source.

I don't have any problems with Streamtorrent crashing. Which version are you using? Also what's the specs of the computer you are using?

i am using the latest version from the st google pages. I think that maybe that I do not have wm11 not installed is probably what causes ST to crash?

    My PC specs are:

    Win Xp 32 bit
    Amd phenom II 955 x4
    6gb corsair ddr3

I am not uing p2p for the moment as I am using wifi and my upload fluctuates from 900Kbps to 2.00Mbps so will purchase some ethernet plug adaptors

Streamtorrent uses WMP technoligy so that might be a reason. How much cores does your computer have and 6gb is that your RAM memory?

The NFL games on MyP2P seem to be mostly streamed via Stream Torrent. Well, American Football is *sort* of rugby-ish!

I have watched NFL 2 weeks in a row, using ST, and it seems ok so far. Stable and good quality stream.

Anything that makes it easier for the streamers to show games must be good! I don't mind downloading and installing ST if it means we get a better game stream.

The effort that streamers like Chrizzzie and Kostaz put in are really laudable, and I don't feel they get thanked enough - so thanks, guys!!

Can you embed ST on to your own site? And can it be recorded for later viewing either by the streamer or the viewer?

No. But that means your streams cannot be embeded by the pirate sites either.

Streams can be recorded by using VLC

Big Mac is right. Not embedding also means Copyright hunters can't shut down your website.

But I can put a link on my site to redirect to ST stream. The recording in VLC is that done by me or by the viewer?

Recording is done by the viewer.

Start the stream in StreamTorrent. In the application window click and Lock the channel you wish to watch. Then... right click on the streaming picture window, go to "Properties" and copy the .asf link you find.. Then open VLC and follow the guide here Record with VLC

Yes you can place the link on your website. Just do it like you do with normal html links. However only people with Streamtorrent installed on their computers can open the link.
