    Default Rugby Replays

I was wondering if there is an interest in rugby replays or even if it is already been done.

I recently got a VPN from ireland and england and i will be able to view the internationals with out any trouble using there respective tv stations. I can record what i am viewing and then stream it through veetle which i have tested and found that it works quite well.

Also for the magners and Heineken cup i can stream replays of these games a day r two after they were played.

Is there any interest in this guys? i know i have often missed matches and if i thought i could watch a replay i would have been happy out.

    Anyway let me know.

I'm sure there would be some interest. I guess you would need to do a list of what and when you will show.

The channels i can access are
Sky Sports - All of them
    Irish TV all of them.
    BBC 1,2,3,4
    ITV
    channel 4

so what i would be thinking is to do replays of the coming internationals.
    I.E.
South African and New Zealand tours.

Also i would be thinking about the Heineken Cups games. As i have Sky Sports i should be able to get all of them.

I might also be interested in live streaming bout i don't know much about it.
Is there anyone out there who has more info on how its done?

I don't need a TV card as im connected to these channels through a VPN and im streaming directly from there websites.

    Cheers

i'd appreciate it greatly, mate. rugby matches tend to be played while i'm still asleep so i miss the games.

Any chance you could replay four nations games on saturday for sunday this is because I will be playing rugby at the same time these games are being shown. Would love full game replays as bbc highlights is rubbish they cut out all the biff. Cheers in adavance if you can but if not i will watch bbc highlights.

Stusports has replays in the archieve in justin and I will also be recording the France v Australia game as well as showing it live.

Dagath - For streaming its easy, what are you using to show you replays files to download or a web player.

There is plenty of threads on this site about how to stream.

I'll guide you in setting up a live stream.

First start with your down and upload speed. You can test it here:

Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test

just let me know what the results are.

    Sopcast: Sportzone.................................Streamtorrent: Sportzone
Rugby, Hockey, Autoracing, MLB, American Football, PBR

    Hi Chrizzzie
6 down 1 up is my current connection. im in spain with telefonica and there offering a free upgrade to 10 meg unfortunately the infrastructure where i live(on the side of a mountain) does not support 10 meg, but il be moving to that area soon i hope.

I dont know if i will be able to stream live but im willing to give it a shot for the sake of the greater good lol

    *EDIT*
Also Chrizzzie, please note that im working from a VPN and intending on streaming the games from the live incoming stream i am getting from the respective websites. so factor that in to your analysis. Also the Sky website sucks in my opinion. They are using silverlight in there iPlayer and from what i can see its not very effective. and im not sure how easy it would be to stream this live. Maybe using some kind of screen capture software? but again i really dont know much about it.

Well i have missed many games in the past. Simply for not being around to see them or because i could not get a reliable stream. so i download the games afterwards via ATT i have lots of files which i have tested through veetle and it seems to work quite good. i see that its possible to stream via VLC but seems complicated.

Maybe you guys should setup a dedicated replay section where people can list what there going to be replaying, when and where? Forgive me if this has already been done.

You can stream with a maximum of 350 kb/s.

You do need screencapture software. I suggest to install this one: VH Screen Capture Driver

Regarding stream I'd suggest installing streamtorrent. See: MyP2P.eu :: StreamTorrent Guide, your best guide for StreamTorrent

Finally you need a media encoder. What are the specs of your computer? Is it quite new and how fast is it? The easiest to use is Windows Media Encoder. Do a google and you probably find it.

If you've installed all of this give a yell and I will guide you about how to set it up. Maybe you can also drop your email address here (I'll delete it once read) and I can support you real time.

You'll have to create some sort of a connection between your cable box and your laptop. Mostlikely this isn't possible with the HDMI cable. A video card is mostly no option for a laptop (Or do you've s slot for this?) otherwise there are USB devices you can use like this one: USB 2.0 VIDEO CAPTURE AV S-VIDEO ADAPTER PC TV Card NEW on eBay (end time 09-Nov-09 14:08:16 GMT)
