Record TVU channels the easy way.

Method One:

Download manager,

Open TVU Player, choose a channel to play. Open your download manager, type this address hxxp://127.0.0.1:8901 into download bar. Make a name for the video file, use .asf for the media format. Click down button when you ready. TVU Player must be playing while you are recording. Do not stop playing or change the channel in TVU Player.

My download manager of choice is Orbit Downloader

Method Two:

VLC Media Player,

Open VLC, click "Media" drag down menu, choose "Open Network Stream...". Type hxxp://127.0.0.1:8901. You still have to open TVU Player and choose a channel that you want record. After video appears on screen in TVU Player you can click "Play" button on VLC Media Player. You must turn on "Advanced Control" with VLC Media Player, because that will be easy to click red recording button on interface. When video appears on VLC Media Player you can click the red record button. It will save video in .asf format. This trick also can be use in TVU web based player.

Method three:

(simplest),

If you do not have any download managers or VLC Media Player, you can use this simple way to save video from TVU Player. After you open a channel with TVU Player, just type hxxp://127.0.0.1:8901 into the address bar in Firfox(not working with IE). Click "Enter" on keyboard, it will download the video without any format, you can change file with .asf format after you are done.

Note: change hxxp to http
