Default Denver Broncos @ San Francisco 49ers........in London

Its confirmed that the 49ers will be having their home game against the Broncos in London on 31st October 2010.
Just wondered what the UK fans thought about this. Will you be going? or will you wait for the second game to be announced? or will you go to both?

Also, what do the fans from the USA think about this? Will you be making a trip to London to follow your team? or are you unhappy that you may miss out on a game in the US?

Is there any speculation about which teams will be playing in the second game in London?

Patriots and the Buccs were in London this season.
Dolphins and Giants also played at Wembley the season before. I think there was a Chargers and Saints game aswell but that may of been pre season. But yeah theres supposedly 2 games for this next season and if all goes well they may increase it to 4 the next season.

Looks like it. Its a lot bigger than you would think/expect. All games have sold out so far (80000ish) and i wouldnt be surprised if they sold out 4 games. Considering how many games there is a season, 2 matches is not a lot.
The four games is not definite and if there is 4 games they may not all be in the UK but elsewhere in Europe.
Fans of all teams go to Wembley for the games so its not like theres 40000 49ers fans, 40000 broncos fans etc. but the NFL seems to think its a good idea.
There has even been talk about a London franchise (in a decades time) or even a Superbowl being held in London. Cant really see that happening but its good (for the uk) that its even being talked about.

ive been the last 3, and tbh this is the worst lineup they have put over here, no big stars, will be interesting to see how well this game sells. Im realy not sure if i will be going this one..

yes. last year, san diego played a regular season game in london...

i'm not really sure i like this trend, though...i mean, it's great that there is a market large enough to make it viable, but it essentially makes a team give up a home game on their schedule...if it were only pre-season, or even the superbowl,(!) i'd be down.

It's one game in bunch of years for that team... And it gives us from europe a chance to see it live, i live in Croatia, it's great chance to see NFL game live (something i woulnd't be able to) + London.

I'm from the U.S., in my opinion I don't mind having the NFL to have more viewers from international developing countries. The NFL is a huge American football franchise league and I know how international viewers would like to see how our football franchise is like from the states. My issue is that having a regular season game over there really urges me and for the fans here because either one of the teams would lose a home game. Season ticket holders had their money on the games each year and will automatically will see 7 games and not 8 for the entire season to watch their team play at home. The NFL is the National Football League, not an international league. I know that Commissioner Roger Goodell likes to expand our league to international countries ,but he's going way to beyond with the idea and it's making it worst for our economy. For instance, with the economy crises going on, our fans pay tickets to watch our teams play ,but the Commissioner rather takes it as for granted to make more money for the league even though the NFL is the biggest sport out of every other sport leagues here. The NBA, NHL or MLB can't compare to the monopoly that the NFL already has with all this load of money coming in. I rather have a preseason game over to international countries because the game won't count in the teams record. For the NFL players, its great to feel the experience and all that, but the flight from there and back really hurts them in the long run. Hopefully you can see where I'm coming from my standpoint.
