Can you get extra channels on SKY?

Just wondering if still possible to pick up extra foreign channels on SKY box. I know you used to enter a few frequencies and get the odd channel.

Can you still pick up any decent Sport channels from abroad. Ive heard Setanta USA can be had?

What about the German channel ARD for the Boxing?

Dont think you can,i tried this about 1 year ago [The frequencies you seem to get for foriegn channels are in the 800's on the channels you never watch] ,think you need a motorized dish only for this to work

Don't think it's possible because $ky aren't the thickest people in the world and know how to stop things like this from happening.

I know you can get some channels, ive picked a few up by randomly putting in frequency numbers, but the channels have been useless.

I also have Setanta Ireland, but thats a blocked channel i think, but can easily get it, if you e-mail them or something and say you in Ireland.

Very unlikely as its not on Astra

I also have Setanta Ireland, but thats a blocked channel i think, but can easily get it, if you e-mail them or something and say you in Ireland.

You'll have to get an Irish Sky card first, linked to an Irish address as it can only be added to that.

You can't get Setanta Ireland and Setanta 1 added to a UK Sky card as its not on the UK EPG for a start even though you can add it like you did through Other Channels. You have to have an Ire on NI Sky card for Setanta to give it to you.

No you can't unless you move your dish then you can add the joys of ARD but you have no chance of Setanta USA. Not that it matters as they close down soon.

No chance of the US sats because they are below our horizon Setanta Ireland is on the Sky Astra 2 28.2e satellite so you can recieve that in the UK but to subscribe you must have a Irish address or try 'other' means

The german channels you cannot see unless you have a motorised dish/ multi lnb set up pointing at Astra 1 19.2E
