    Manual

If you using Mozilla FireFox, you must install ActiveX plugin for FireFox to enable Sopcast WebPlayer.

    Download the Plugin

    download mozactivex-ff-15.xpi

The plugin mozactivex-ff-15.xpi is only for firefox version 1.5.0.x. Check the version of your firefox, if it's not 1.5.0.x, download your corresponding plugin here: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=206213 . And you may also follow the guide on that page.

    Install the Plugin

Drag and Drop the file mozactivex-ff-15.xpi into the firefox ‘s windows (version 1.5.0.x), a installation window will popup. Click button Install Now to install the plugin.

    Config the Plugin

Config the plugin by enter a URL: about:config in address box of firefox, some configurations will be displayed in text window. Select the security.classID.allowByDefault and set the value to true.

    Restart Firefox

Restart the firefox and visit http://www.sopcast.com/player/index.jsp# . If you have installed the SopCast WebPlayer, you can see the WebPlayer's user interface. If you have never downloaded and installed it, download it here , install it and refresh the page.

I got a problem! I'm currently using Win ME and using the firefox browser.

I have followed all of these instructions, but SopCast still doesn't work.

In the process of installing, it would run into an error everytime. I don't know why!

    The error pop-up says...

    Runtime Error!

    Program: C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP\SETUP-SOPCAST-1.0.1-2006-10-15.EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
I think i know why, but im still in need of help. When i downloaded that plugin on your 1st post, it said to restart firefox to use it. But when i restarted firefox, and check the "Extensions", i can't seem to find that plugin there.

    Help please?

Aah i might have figured something out.

When i type about:plugins, i see that the "Mozilla Default Plug-in (filename: npnul32.dll)" is NOT enabled. Now the question is how do i enable it?

Remove all old SOpcast files, everything, all maps, just the whole shit. Then download the full Sopcast and install it again, it will work then.

Right mouse, you can "turn it on" to true.

I'm having the same problem using FireFox v2.0. Is there any way round it?

Unfortunatly Sopcast still not available to FireFox v2.0.
    You can use this plugin.
    https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/35/
It allows you to right click on webplayer page and open it as IE.
Not perfect but good while wainting sopcast action.

Select the security.classID.allowByDefault and set the value to true.
I wonder if this is unsafe for my computer ?

I guess it's a Vista issue, maybe you should get back to XP ...

your firewall needs to allow sopcast to connect through it don't forget
